Goa Lawah Temple precisely located on the edge of a large road that connects the town of Klungkung and Karangasaem City , opposite beach, including rural areas Pasinggahan Dawan sub district , Klungkung regency of Bali.
From Denpasar or Sanur , Goa Lawah Temple can be reached with about 1 hour by road Prof. Mantra , 90 minutes from Kuta or Jimbaran and about 120 minutes from the Nusa Dua or Tanjung Benoa and 45 minutes from Ubud Bali direction. Goa Lawah Temple founded by Empu Kuturan expected around the 11th century. Empu Kuturan is a pastor who contributed to govern religious Hindu in Bali.

Therefore, the temple is well taken care of. More pilgrims come during the full moon. And also before major holidays such as Nyepi, Hindus from neighboring villages around doing Melasti ritual.
Melasti
Melasti is a ceremony when people walk into the sea from the temple in a procession carrying sacred objects to be cleansed in the ocean.
Visit the temple in the morning when people come to pray in the morning. However, both also visit on a sunny afternoon, because although it is located on the waterfront, this temple has a lot of big trees so the atmosphere is very shady.
